Fort Lauderdale sailaway

We joined the ship halfway though a cruise in Grand Cayman. Two days later it was a "turnaround" in Fort Lauderdale, so all the people got off and the next cruise's pax came onboard.

Fort Lauderdale must be the port with the largest amount of cruise ship activity, as most of the big US lines use this as a turnaround port.

Below are a few pics of our sail-away:

The Regal Princess - the person visible on the front deck is Brenda's colleague, Ilse, the current doctor on the Regal.

You can see the crew pool behind Ilse - directly below the bridge. If ever you see an officer on the bridge of a cruise ship with binoculars, chances are that they are not on the lookout for other ships . . .

The Regal making its way to the Atlantic. This is currently the latest and greatest in the Princess fleet

the "enemy"!
What is causing the urge for people to wave when they are either on a ship or looking at a ship??

For crying out loud! Is that your mother on the ship?

I wonder if they have flags of all the lines . . .

Fort Lauderdale has a great beach! This is the place where the infamous SA criminal, Andre Stander, sailed his yacht to in the 80's

See you in 10 days!
