A visit to the greater LA area is not complete without a visit to Disneyland.
Disneyland consists out of two theme parks adjacent to each other, the original Disneyland, and after that Disney's California Adventure was added, which was our choice for the day. Mia designed / worked on a lot of the themed areas inside this park while she was still at Disney, and we were keen to see her handiwork.
| HUGE excitement in front of the entrance! |
| Frozen is currently the name of this game . . . |
| I didn't even notice/know, but Anabelle was wearing a Princess Ana dress, and Maggie a Tinkerbell dress - and this Disney employee came up to two the little princesses and asked them for their signature :-) |
| Enjoying the Frozen area - one of Mia's themes that she created |
| The two princesses getting to meet Princess Ana and Elsa from Frozen - this was a highlight! |
| Toy soldiers - with a funny drum routine! |
And then we had lunch with the Princesses at Ariel's Grotto. For some in our party this was just too good to be true!
| Posing with Snow White |
| And here with Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) |
| And of course with 'Princess' Minnie |
Between all teh Princess visits, we did manage to fit in a ride on a roller coaster :-)
| But just took a picture of the screen afterwards - cheapskates, I say! |
Mia spend a lot of time working on the theme 'Cars', as this movie proved to be a success story at the time.
| Route 66 in the Cars area |
| Anabellie posing with Mater - Extremely well done with the car designed to such an extent that its mouth moves when it talks to you. |
| Enjoying the tractor ride |
| Sunset in the happiest place on earth |
Some more themes from "Cars":
All in all a wonderful day!
